Pixel Polder is a fictional indie game studio from Groningen creating atmospheric strategy and narrative games inspired by Dutch landscapes, water systems and slow-building tension. Our work blends playful mechanics with worldbuilding, tactile interfaces and strong visual identity.
We develop original game concepts, prototype mechanics for partners and support small cultural or educational institutions with interactive storytelling formats. Whether we are designing a cozy puzzle game set around dikes and canals or a stylized management sim with low-poly visuals, we focus on games that feel thoughtful, distinctive and replayable.
As a small studio, we collaborate closely with writers, composers and technical artists, keeping process nimble and communication straightforward.
